RESIDENTIAL SOLAR SOLUTIONS
Residential rooftop solar in West Bengal
Rooftop solar for homes across West Bengal. A system designed around your electricity needs, your roof and your priorities.

SOLAR THAT FITS YOUR HOME
Start with what matters to you.
Reducing grid electricity use starts with understanding how your household consumes energy. We review your bill and rooftop before recommending a system, and explain what it can do for you in everyday terms.
Choose an on-grid system for daytime generation and bill savings, or explore battery-backed options where essential-load backup is a priority. We explain the differences, the practical limitations and the costs before you decide.
Discuss your home’s solar needsHOW WE WORK
A clear path to solar.
Understand your requirements
Share a recent bill, rooftop details and any appliances you want to support during power cuts.
Survey & propose
We assess shade, usable space and electrical requirements, then explain the recommended system and project scope.
Install & coordinate
We coordinate procurement, installation and applicable metering or approval steps against an agreed schedule.
Test & hand over
Receive operating guidance and equipment documentation, with maintenance options for ongoing care.
Support with the steps around installation.
We assist with net metering, DISCOM approvals and applicable policy or subsidy processes. Requirements vary by connection, project and scheme; eligibility is reviewed before commitments are made, with registered-vendor coordination where required.
Plan your timeline
The overall process typically takes around 6–10 weeks, depending on project scope, site readiness and approvals. Smaller projects may be completed sooner; larger C&I projects can require a longer programme.
ONGOING SYSTEM CARE
Professional maintenance.
Practical pricing.
Our Annual Maintenance Contracts provide planned care at reasonable, project-specific pricing. An agreed schedule helps keep attention on your system beyond installation.
- Module cleaning using appropriate methods.
- Routine visual and electrical checkups by competent personnel.
- Generation and inverter-status reviews.
- System assistance and fault coordination within the agreed scope.
Visit frequency, access arrangements, response support and charges are set out in your AMC proposal. Replacement parts and additional corrective work are quoted separately unless expressly included.

How we size rooftop solar for your home
A useful recommendation starts with electricity consumption in units (kWh), not just the rupee total on one bill. Share several recent bills where possible, your connection details and whether your daytime use differs from evenings. Air-conditioning, pumps and future appliances can change the design. A larger array is not automatically a better investment if your roof, connection or usage cannot support it.
Your electricity use
We distinguish daytime consumption from backup needs. A grid-connected system can reduce grid purchases while the sun is available; a battery-backed design needs a separate list of essential loads and desired operating hours.
Your usable roof
Water tanks, staircases, parapets, shading, access paths and future roof use affect the layout. Module dimensions and mounting clearances matter more than a simple total-area figure. Structural suitability must be assessed before installation.
Your connection
Your sanctioned load, supply phase and applicable CESC or WBSEDCL requirements inform the proposal. Roof capacity alone does not establish the capacity that can be connected or the approvals available.
Start with our solar size and savings calculator, then read the 5 kW system planning guide for an example of how capacity, generation and bill savings differ.
What determines residential solar installation cost?
System size is only one factor. Module and inverter specifications, mounting height, roof type, cable routes, earthing and protection, battery capacity, access and approval-related work all influence the price. Ask for an itemised scope rather than comparing headline prices alone.
Your written proposal should identify the exact equipment, installation inclusions, exclusions, taxes, payment stages and any project-specific approval responsibilities. Subsidy eligibility must be checked separately: do not treat an expected subsidy as money already received or assume every residential installation qualifies.
Our solar installation cost guide for Kolkata explains how to compare quotations. We confirm project pricing after reviewing your requirements and site.
What to prepare before a site assessment
- Recent electricity bills showing consumption, tariff category and connection details.
- Roof dimensions and photographs taken only from a safe, accessible position.
- Ownership or permission details for the rooftop and electrical connection.
- A list of appliances needing backup, with their power ratings and expected running hours.
- Any roof repairs, future construction or access restrictions we should know about.
Do not climb an unsafe roof or open electrical panels to collect information. Our team can explain what is needed before the assessment.
Residential solar questions
Can solar eliminate my entire electricity bill?
Not necessarily. Savings depend on generation, consumption timing, tariff and the approved treatment of exported energy. Fixed charges and other bill components may remain. We separate estimated energy savings from any promise of a zero bill.
Will an ordinary on-grid inverter run during an outage?
A standard grid-following system shuts down when the grid fails. Backup requires a suitably designed storage and inverter arrangement with safe isolation and a defined essential-load circuit. A panel rating alone does not establish backup capability.
Is a manufacturer warranty the same as maintenance?
No. Product and performance warranties have equipment-specific terms, exclusions and claim procedures. Cleaning, inspections, labour, transport and replacement work should be checked separately in the proposal and AMC scope.
